Sage Academy Application

Sage Academy is a one-year experiential learning experience for first-year students in Data Analytics and Information Systems that will pilot in Fall 2026. Students in Sage Academy take a coordinated set of DAIS courses while working as part of a team to build a real technology product. Rather than learning concepts in isolation, students apply what they are learning directly to hands-on, meaningful work, helping them see how data, systems, and technology fit together in practice.

Throughout the year, students build strong technical foundations while also developing collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. With guidance from faculty mentors, students are encouraged to make connections across courses, reflect on their learning, and grow as professionals. By the end of the year, students leave Sage Academy with real project experience, a clearer understanding of technical fundamentals, and increased confidence as they move into future coursework, internships, and careers.
